Our adventure starts at Kotor from where we drive to Lovcen Mountain National Park. This road is famous work of an Austrian Architect- he made 25 switchbacks to connect coast and mountains. With each curve, the view is more fabulous, and after 25th we will have a shortstop so you can take the photos and enjoy the beauty of the Bay of Kotor. After photo break, we need few more minutes to our destination, National Park Lovcen Mountain. Beech and oak trees will follow us to the top of the mountain where fascinating mausoleum of Peter II Petrovic Njegos, the ruler of Montenegro from the beginning of 19th century, is located.
Except for special position of this place, the mausoleum is a masterpiece of worldwide famous Croatian sculptor Ivan Mestrovic. From the top of the mountain you will see almost entire Montenegro, but to reach it you must climb 461 stairs. After enjoying the time in this beautiful and peaceful place, and after photos from the mountaintop, we will go down the stairs and have a refreshment in a local restaurant and taste famous smoked ham. After the break, we will drive down to the port of Kotor the same way which will provide more photo opportunities!
The tour includes: professional guide, comfortable car/van with driver, entrance fees to National Park Lovcen, entrance fees to Mausoleum, snack (smoked ham, cheese, one drink).
