One of the most exquisite gifts that Mother Nature has given to Montenegro, among many beautiful hidden beaches, is the Bay of Kotor. It is the only bay on this side of Mediterranean coast that resembles a Norwegian fjord. However, do not let it confuse you. At the very entrance of the bay, it feels like you are entering into some land Far Far Away, just waiting for some nymphs or sirens to jump out of water and salute you. It definitely resembles a dreamy, remote harbor, guarded by the mountains, where the magic happens. Kotor Bay - Our Lady of the Rock and St. Dordje [...]

Cetinje & Montenegrin History When we think about the history of Balkan Peninsula, it is hard to believe that country, small as Montenegro managed to survive between the mighty forces like Ottoman Turks, Austria and Venice that were dominating East Adriatic for centuries. Its mountainous and inaccessible terrain, great warriors led by outstanding rulers were the reason why none of these surrounding forces managed to establish real power and control over this small Slavic nation. Not only that we managed to resist, preserving our religion, culture and identity, but we were also recognized at The Congress of Berlin in 1878 as completely independent Principality! By |2019-05-21T10:46:22+00:00January 1st, 2015|Travel|

One of the monuments that visitors like the most, during Kotor Private Tour, is St. Luke’s church. It was built in 1195 and it is one of the best preserved Romanesque buildings in the old town. It is real miracle how it survived all the earthquakes, especially the one in 17th century, when big part of Kotor was destroyed. Also, what makes it special is the fact that for two hundred years it was shared between Orthodox and Catholics. This is why St. Luca's church is symbol of good relations and harmony that still exists in Kotor and entire Montenegro. Miro & Sons [...]
